I wrote something out for the drawing on the right:
Noi in traditional, ceremonial clothing, awake far too early in the morning, out in the cold, trying his hardest to look alert as a person beside him delivers a speech. He hardly processes the words being spoken, deferring to others to figure out when to sit, stand, nod, or react while counting the minutes until he can zoom back into his warm bed.
His unique traits and status in this world automatically make him a public figure; a person of cultural, sometimes even religious importance. Though he stays out of public view most of the time choosing to live the life of an ordinary citizen (with mixed success), there are certain events he’ll choose to attend throughout the year.
Despite having known and planned this one visit in advance, it didn’t stop him from staying up far too late playing games the night before…
